This is a vintage full of finesse. Of ruby-ish red colour with crimson tints, it expresses an aromatic complexity composed of prunes, raspberries, black olives, liquorice, pepper and a touch of caramel. On the palate, the wine is sturdy, fresh, full bodied and dense. The tannins are discernable, but still firm. Pepper, liquorice, garrigue and leather with toasted notes can be detected. For a real drinking treat, the wine could benefit from further aging.
